Back-to-School Bag Distribution
In 2025, we distributed more than 1,000 school bags to students in Dame Marie so they could return to school ready to learn.
Ahead of the 2025 school year, New Vision for Dame Marie distributed more than 1,000 school bags to students across the community. For many families, the cost of school supplies is a real barrier to attendance. By providing bags to help children get back to school, this initiative gave students the tools — and the encouragement — to begin the year with confidence.
The problem
Many families in Dame Marie face financial barriers to sending their children back to school with the basic supplies they need.
Our solution
We organized and distributed more than 1,000 school bags directly to students in the community ahead of the school year.
