Latrines for Vulnerable Families
Building latrines for the most vulnerable families living outside the town — giving them a safe, private bathroom and protecting the community’s health and water.
Many of the most vulnerable families in the areas around Dame Marie live without a bathroom of any kind. They are forced to relieve themselves outdoors or near the river — a daily hardship that also contaminates the water the community depends on. New Vision for Dame Marie has taken on this need: building latrines for these families to restore dignity, improve health, and help prevent contamination.
The problem
Vulnerable families living outside the town have no bathroom facilities and must go outdoors or near the river, which harms their dignity and health and contaminates local water sources.
Our solution
We build latrines for the families who need them most, providing safe, private sanitation and reducing the risk of water contamination and disease in the community.
Who benefits
The most vulnerable families living in the rural areas outside Dame Marie.
