Clean Water Access
Bringing safe water closer to home in Dame Marie, where families walk miles to collect water from a natural source known as “Nan Bòs.”
Dame Marie has no running water. Every day, families — especially women and children — walk miles to collect water from a natural source known as “Nan Bòs,” a hardship that costs time, energy, and health. New Vision for Dame Marie aims to bring safe, reliable water closer to the community through improved water access and infrastructure.
The problem
The community has no running water, and families must walk miles to fetch water from the “Nan Bòs” source — a daily burden that falls hardest on women and children and poses real health risks.
Our solution
Develop safe, accessible water closer to homes — such as wells, cisterns, and distribution points — to shorten the daily journey and improve community health.
Who benefits
Families across Dame Marie, especially the women and children who fetch water each day.
